Next?!

It's been a while since my last post, mainly because there hasn't been too much to say, I guess. There has been a lot going on, but nothing along the lines of babies. Today, the Texas A&M LifeStudy we have been involved in, is over. They don't have anymore funding to do the research. We are sad that we won't get our visits with our nurse anymore, but we know that regardless of the study or not, God will take is right where we need to go. We also feel so bad for these hard working study nurses, because tomorrow they will be unemployed. :( Now, it is time for us to concentrate on what is next for us. After hearing from her at our last meeting that things look to be very normal with both Mike & I from what they can tell based on all kinds ;) of samples. It has been really great for me to reach out to people via FB and this blog, I have had so many people contact me to let me know they are supporting me and praying for my journey. It's amazing how many people are going through the same things you are, and until you reach out, you would never know. To those that have reached out, told me your stories, and been there to support us, THANK YOU!! At this point, it is time that we take things to the next level. That makes me very nervous. I do not want to hear any bad news, I think it would be very different if I was in a position, career wise, to take time away for appointments, etc. without feeling like I was putting my job in jeopardy. The timing with the study being over and us having to move on, is not the best really. This month is going to be a rough ride at work. I have been on contract since last August. The Royal Bank of Scotland was supposed to hire me after 30 days...well...! They are also in the process of merging with ABN AMRO Bank (the side I work on) and I am the ONLY Executive Assistant on this side. With the merge, they will be looking at any "overlap" and cutting heads. I am hoping and praying that since I support 40% of the office (and there are 4 of us b/w the two companies) that they will not let me go or see me as overlap...also, I am the only one that knows any of the ABN applications/software, etc. Prayers about that would be great, honestly either way, I just want to move on and get out of this "guessing game." I am very grateful to have a job, an income, etc. TRUST ME, I am NOT complaining one bit, but man...when you are trying to have a baby, this day in and day out can really take it's toll on you.

FULL SPEED AHEAD...!!

Well, there hasn't been much to say about the lifestudy lately or us TTC. We sort of put everything on hold. The first month of the study, we had a false alarm. =( Then we were heading to Florida to visit my parents, so we didn't want me to be sick and not enjoy myself, then I found out that my insurance had dropped me b/c my company wasn't paying me. We decided to move on with insurance on our own and I had a bad car accident, where both vehicles involved were totaled on 4-4-09.

As of this week, we have insurance again and the timing couldn't be better b/c Aunt Flo is in town. =) Mike was so cute when I told him I had medical insuranc again. I'm pretty sure his cheeks were hurting b/c he couldn't stop smiling. Now we are full speed ahead.

The study ends in July, unless they extend it, so we are running out of time with this route. If this doesn't work for us, we will be visiting the doctor and seeing what steps we need to take.

I will keep everyone posted on our progress or success!!

Prayer are appreciated.

XOXO-
Jill

I give...

...in!

Many people have been asking about our "LifeStudy journey", so I have decided to start a blog based on that and hopefully, in no time at all, I will be blogging about our pregnancy and so on...

I have been somewhat cautious about letting people in on our experiences but have come to realize, the more support we have, the better. People are only asking because they care, right? =D

Stay tuned for my first "official" LifeStudy entry.
